ICPR – QUALITY OF LEGAL REPRESENTATION IN THE YOUTH JUSTICE SYSTEM

10 May 2022

Researchers from the Institute for Crime and Justice Policy Research (ICPR), Birkbeck, University of London are conducting a survey.

The survey is targeting criminal solicitors and is part of research that ICPR is undertaking in partnership with the charity Just for Kids Law – to enhance the quality of legal representation and advocacy in the youth justice system. The research is seeking to identify whether, and what kinds of, interventions or support might be needed to improve the quality of the work of criminal solicitors who advise child suspects at the police station and represent child defendants in court.

The link below is to the page on the ICPR website that introduces the survey and the wider study of which it is a part, and also holds the link to the survey itself.
