Apply for membership

Click on one of the button options below to start your application. Find out more about membership levels and the benefits of being a CLSA member. You can pay securely online by card or sign up to pay by Direct Debit. If you want to pay by cheque or BACS transfer then contact us for more information. The Initial 1st Year Payment will be taken on joining (for example £50 for individual membership) then the next payment will not be due until the subscription renewal date of 1st October.

Individual Membership

Individual Membership is open to any enrolled and practising solicitor of the Supreme Court involved with, or interested in the practice of criminal law -prosecution or defence.  Full membership is on an individual basis.

Firm Membership

If there are 2 or more solicitors in your Firm who wish to become members, then it will be cheaper for you to apply for Firm Membership. Each individual Firm location must be applied for separately.

• 2 to 5 members – £80 per member
• 6 to 9 members – £50 per member
• 10 to 20 members – £45 per member
• 20 + members – £35 per member

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to any person, in the permanent employment of a firm of solicitors and engaged in or interested in the practice of criminal law.  Applicants must be proposed and seconded by at least two full members of the Association.  Associate Members are entitled to attend all general meetings of the Association but are not entitled to vote.  Associate membership is on an individual basis.
