In straightforward language it covers both the practical aspects of attendance as well as the legal issues that may arise and has a comprehensive breakdown of the key provisions of PACE. For an educational legal tome, this is extremely readable and easy to digest. Whilst this edition does not have a copy of PACE, this means that the commentary can be more detailed and there is more information contained within the covers. All-important PACE sections are considered within the book. The new edition brings the law right up to date, but it retains the original style and accessibility of the earlier editions. In our firm, we ensure that every police representative has their own copy all of which are well thumbed. The inclusion of a chapter in relation to children and vulnerable clients is very useful and highlights the particular issues that a representation may encounter and should take into consideration when dealing with these groups of people.

All the most likely issues and scenarios that you may need are given detailed analysis to ensure that those new to representing clients are able to feel comfortable in the decisions they make.

If you are representing clients in the police station this book is a must have. Put it at the top of your Christmas list!
