As lockdown restrictions ease, we see that HMCTS are increasing the number of cases coming before the Courts.  The CLSA has voiced concern about Court Risk Assessments not being provided upon request, particularly when they are key to ensuring that reasonably practicable steps have been taken reduce the risk of contracting COVID 19.

The CLSA have produced a key card that will hopefully assist members in ensuring that they, and the Police stations/Courts they attend, are as safe as practicably possible. Click here for a copy

HMCTS advise that Courts users who have any concerns about local measures should notify an onsite member of staff or Security Officer in the first instance, or alternatively contact HMCTS.COVID-19ResponseTeam@justice.gov.uk If there is an inadequate response then the HSE can be contacted by telephone: 0300 790 6787 and their lines are open Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm; or alternatively by completing an online form: https://www.hse.gov.uk/contact/contact.htm
