CLSA Open Meeting – Friday 15th July 2022

The Bar strike action is now in its third week, and absent any change of heart on behalf of either the government or the CBA, it may last for some time. Meanwhile the Government have brought forward proposals based upon its response to the CLAR report. The Government’s proposed funding is well below that proposed by CLAR. It falls well short of what is required to make criminal defence work financially sustainable.

We want to hear from you, how the action is affecting your practice, how the Courts are dealing with your cases, what you would like to see happen next.

We have arranged an open meeting this Friday 15 July from 1pm – 2pm, via Zoom. All are welcome, even non-members, there is no need to register in advance.
